Third prize in Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition

We are now back in London after an exciting trip to the tiny village of Pilton, where we played alongside eight other bands all hoping to come away with a prize and play at the festival this year. The band and I came third in the competition which I am still pinching myself about! This means that I was lucky enough to win a £2,500 musical development prize from PRS Music Foundation and we will be heading to the festival in June to play! She Drew the Gun deservedly came in first place - lovely people, brilliant songs and a very important message being communicated in their song Poem. In second place was the fabulous and mega cool Bossy Love. Do check out the other acts that played: Marcus McCoan, Early Ghost, Henry Green, Gillbanks and Lady Sanity. as there was a hell of a lot of talent in the room!  We thought everyone gave an amazing performance, and it was a pleasure to share the bill with them.

Stay tuned to hear where and when we will be playing at the festival!

More news coming soon. Hattie x

Field Day Announced

I'm delighted to announce that the band and I will be playing at Field Day this year, on 11th June. The line up for the festival's 10th birthday is not one to be missed, and we are very excited to join some of our favourite bands and artists on the bill, including PJ Harvey, James Blake and Beach House. Check out http://fielddayfestivals.com/line-up/ for more information including where to buy tickets.

Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition

I'm delighted to have been selected to play the finals of Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent competition this year, where eight bands will play two songs each to a panel of judges and an audience. The winner of this final round of the competition will play at the festival...so cross your fingers and toes for me!

Winter Double Headliner - Hattie Whitehead and Joe Innes & The Cavalcade

Hello everyone,

I'm thrilled to announce that my band and I will be playing a very special festive show on 8th December as joint headliners with the brilliant Joe Innes & The Cavalcade.

I'll be joined by the exceedingly talented 10 piece band that joined me earlier this year for my EP Launch, and Joe and the band will be launching a new christmas single, which we are assured will be far better than anything X Factor could come up with!

Tickets will go on sale on Friday 16th October over at www.wegottickets.com, and if you get in there early enough you can nab yourself an early bird ticket for a mere £8.

I am currently working on material for a new record, and can't wait to share my new songs with you in December with the band.

It's been a while...

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've updated this 'news' section, but I can tell you that the band and I have had a lovely summer playing in new places. In July, we did our first out of town gig supporting the fabulous Howard Rose in Melton Mowbray, which was such a brilliant experience. Thank you people of Melton, you are very welcoming! We then headed to Latitude Festival where we had yet more lovely audience members. I played solo to a tent full of soggy party animals at Secret Garden Party and now it is time to start working on some new music for your ears!

Keep checking my Facebook and Twitter pages for up to date posts and gig announcements. Lots more excitement will follow!

A week on from the sold out launch of 'Home' and I am still in a daze. Thank you so much to all that came and participated in such a lovely evening, especially my gorgeous army of musicians, We Used to Make Things and Oh Sister.

Here are some happy memories of the evening, with huge thanks to Carolina Faruolo for these beautiful shots...
